Potted Plant Distribution by Jason 7au, Joshua Kelly

July 3rd, 2006 7:43 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Acquire a small potted plant. Leave the plant in a store, cafe, or a location of your choosing that has lack of potted plants.

Trader Joes sells some pretty nice plants, so I picked on up with this week's groceries. I got a small potted rose, a parade rose, to be precise. After putting all the groceries away and having a fridge full of food, what better way to celebrate then by going out to eat? I did as much, and left the rose at the counter of my favorite burger joint in my neighborhood.

I hereby offer to grant two votes if anyone can locate my pretty rose and take their picture with it. Or just one if you can ID the location.

(And Jason found it and got the votes, rawr.)

When I went in, there was no little potted plant to be seen, so I asked the folks behind the counter if anyone had left a rose there today. They had put your plant in the window on their side, and gladly handed the little pot to me. "Thanks," I said, "I have to take a picture with it," and I immediately started taking the second and third shots below, which I think confused them a little but they were giggling about it too. (The SF0 in cursive-font was a nice touch.) I put the roses back in the window where they had put it before, and left, thanking them, which I think must have confused them even more, since I hadn't come to claim them...

Ahhhhh!

Dude you rock! Isn't Big Mouth the best burgers ever!

Excellent!

Pretty plant, nice location. The SF0 on the pot is really cool. I love that you gave a reward for the picture, and that it was actually completed! Well done, Mr. Kelly and Mr. Schupp. Good show, indeeed.

Actually, I don't know about the burgers!

I'm a vegetarian! :D Do they have a veggie burger? I didn't actually stop long enough to look at a menu, since I realized I was right next to Papalote and got hungry for their soyrizo burrito.

Thanks for the two votes, too. :) You are a gentleman and a scholar.

yes.

They do have some kind of garden burger, however, you made the right decision with they soyrizo burrito, probably the best fake meat product available. Much better then fake'n bacon.

If they really care about their burgers

(and if they have the best burgers, they must) then their veggie burger must also be grand. I'll have to try it soon.

Also hey, I'm a collaborator! Neat, thanks! Though I've just discovered something about the collaboration/vote system. If you add a collaborator after votes have been given (in this case, Amber's and Al Gae's) then the added collaborator doesn't get the votes. I think that's brilliant, actually, because then if Player X has a friend Player Y who has already done a task for their team, but Player X really wants to do that task, then they still can without reaping the vote points from Player Y's original task proof. I wonder if that was the intention.

I don't claim to understand anything about the economics of this game, but you totally deserve the collaborator status, I can't explain or understand how happy it makes me that someone went and found my little plant.

Well, Mr. Schupp, I'm really glad you got collaborator status. You definitely should get points for this. I was going to go and vote for something on your site so you'd get the votes, so thanks for alerting me to the fact that you still didn't get the points from my previous vote.

Strangely,

I seemed to have gained the points for all three votes on this task. Not that I'm complaining. :)
