The Callouses on Your Hands by Placid Dingo

When i was quite young, 1, 2ish I developed a form of cancer named Neuro Blastoma. This is the source of all my scars worth showing. Neck, chest, and belly have large scars, my lip has a small one form where a flesh eating virus took advantage of my struggling immune system.
It's invigorating being here, with the knowledge that i could just as easiliy (quite a bit more easiliy, the odds were not in my favour particularly).
The irony is my big scar (which is often passed off as a shark bite :) ) is the least interesting story - it was jst a final checkup. I still have some stitches inside it.
