I used to have irrational fears of quite a few foods but have over come most of those fears at some point or another simply by being very hungry. And by many foods I probably actually just mean avocados. I really can't remember. No wait!My father terrified me with 90 year old tofu when I was 6.
I was walking around in the china town of New York With my father at some point and he bought some sort of dried plum or something. We do not know what they actually are but the man who was selling them was very adamant to the effect that we should wash them before we eat them. Wash them thoroughly. We now refer to them as "Wash 'em firsts". I am not currently home and will not be for a week, but when I get home, I promise you, I will eat one. Or more. After washing them, or, possibly, not...!?

Because I am still so new to your writings it still comes as a shock to me each time I read one and I, in the absolute strongest sense of the phrase, understand. The dog somehow coming away with smiley face material in it's mouth? It really has never made sense to me how that worked. Was the mailman wearing pants lined with the same fabric as was used to create his undergarments?
