Renew An Old Correspondence by Cthulhu Kitty

Okay, this is very embarrasing, but at least I live secure in the knowledge that I am not the only "stalker" documented in the completion of this task.
Here's the story:
Many years ago, when I was in highschool, I had a major crush on a friend of mine. I awkwardly expressed my feelings to this someone in the form of trying to be around them all the time, and when that failed and we were no longer friends, to call and hang up. (In my defense, A - I was young, and B - I was totally confused about why I had romantic feelings for another girl. I knew I couldn't express them by conventional methods, but other than that, I didn't have a clue what to do. ) Anyway, she eventually had to change her phone number and I backed off into the shadows alone with my forbidden love. I never did anything else about it, but I never lost those feelings throughout all four years. After college, as I eventually came to terms with my sexuality, I regretted most of all not being able to explain to her why I had acted as I had in highschool. I figure that given all the trouble I caused, the least I could do was let her know what had been going on, but I never saw her again. Seeing this task reminded me of how much I wanted a chance to tell her all this, so I tracked her down and sent the below note:
Hi!
This may be a tiny bit of a surprise, but if you went to XXXXX High School, then at least I got the right person to send this surprising letter to.
You may not remember me, but then again, I believe I may have sorta made an impression upon you during our tumultuous high school years. In any case, years later, I have finally figured out what the heck was going on at that time in my life that caused me to act as strangely as I did, and believe it or not, it’s been bugging me all this time that I never got a chance to explain it to you.
So, if you’re at all interested, intrigued, or just down right puzzled and would like to find out more, please either mail me back or send an email to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
