Task Exchange by Cthulhu Kitty, Jackie H

Jackie:
Neko Totoro messaged me awhile back asking if I'd like to collaborate w/ her. Since I'm currently sort of trying to do more collaborative tasks (though I really prefer doing things alone), I agreed. She wanted to to the Task Exchange; we interpreted this over a few emails as meaning we ought to do the same task, submit it as ourselves, but do so in the "style" of the other person, wait a few days, and then submit this Task Exchange proof.
We did We, the Horny. The other task I think would have worked well is Random Acts of Kidness, since just like it's fun to imagine what Neko Totoro might post to Craigslist, it would also have been awesome to try to think of stuff she might have done as a child, and then do it. Anyway, here's my We, the Horny proof: http://sf0.org/JackieH/taskDetail/?id=456. And here's hers: http://sf0.org/katotoro/taskDetail/?id=456.
I included various hints at her tasks, like "cryptoquizzical" and "petted" (since as far as I know she's more or less a cat). I referenced quite a few others too, but added my own interpretations (that NT seems to be somewhat shy but also wants adventure, etc.).
What do you guys think? Did we do a good job? Someone actually responded to mine with the message, "Neko Totoro? Glad you got out of the service, assuming you have,"--which was really weird. At first I thought, wow, someone who actually knows NT in real life saw this post and thought I was her, cool, I'm SUPER AMAZINGLY ACCURATE AT THIS TASK. But then NT emailed the person back (also thinking she knew this mysterious "A" person), and it turned out the person just googled some part of my posting (the "cryptoquizzical" part), and NT's tasks just showed up. Oh well. It was exciting for a minute. Also, it was really fun trying to determine the "horny" aspects of NT's personality based solely on her task completions, sort of like a mini-psychoanalysis exercise.
Neko:
I too, prefer the lone task completion, but am trying to interact more with other players. Hence the request for collaboration.
Although Task Exchange was perfect for collaboration purposes, it turned out to be a lot more difficult than I first thought. The key to this task of course being attempting a task in the other player's "style." Heck, I have a hard time understanding/analyzing people I know, much less people I've never met. Looking at Jackie H's other tasks, I saw several repeated themes: Art, Nature, and Creation - creation in all senses of the word. She's created entire imaginary animals, sculptures, interior decorative spaces, a wallet out of nature, and most interesting to me, a collage representing nature (a landscape) using, ironically, bits and pieces of birth control packaging. I'd like to say that my final product did in fact allude to all the qualities I saw in her tasks, but I'd also have to say that I don't think it was obvious to others that it was Jackie H's style.
I will say that a lot of the responses I recieved praised the "creative" aspects of the ad. Several people indicated that they thought I might be a poet. But no one mentioned the other references to "creation" I was trying to evoke. Perhaps I was too subtle?
All in all, this proved to be quite challenging and I'm glad we chose the "we the horny" task, because honestly, I'm not sure I would have done this one otherwise. (I have no idea what I really want!)

That being said, if anyone knows any smart single grrrls interested in an epistolary romance, drop me a line! :)
we, the horny does seem particularly good for "task exchange" since so few people (including myself) do know what they really want...and most people want others to tell them?
