Find something. Write about it. by Cthulhu Kitty

Hmmm... I wrote a great deal about this, but it seems to have disappeared. In my absent minded state, I wonder if I wrote this on some other task...
Well, here goes again:
I have been seeing this object in front of my hooch for quite some time now, but never really thought much about it until the other day when I thought :hey, this might be good for that Find something. write about it task.
So, I took a picture of it in situ and then picked it up and brought it to work. The object was intriguing to me, but I didn't have the slightest clue as to what it was. This meant that it might be a tad bit difficult to write about it. So, I decided to show it to various people and ask them what they thought it was and then write about their responses.
1. Old pen.
2. Spear from a He-Man figurine.
3. This person handled the object a great deal and then bent it to the point that it broke in two. Based on this development, she decided that whatever it was, it couldn't be a toy.
4. Another vote for spear from a He-Man figurine. Interesting because I don't think he over-heard the first person's guess.
5. No clue.
6. "It's disgusting; get rid of it."
7. Spear.
8. This guy also handled it a great deal and was the only person to smell it. Despite all this, his eventual response was "No clue."
9. Door hinge pin for a small jeep.
10. "Haven't a frickin' clue."
11. This person, after discovering a staple in the side of the object, declared that he knew exactly what it was - the pole of a miniature American Flag.
Mystery solved ?
