Do-Over by Cthulhu Kitty

February 8th, 2007 4:59 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Ever find yourself thinking: "man, I really could have done something way cooler for that task I completed ages ago?" Did you miss the point? Skip a step? Or have you just come up with a better idea?

Take pride in your task-doing! Redo a task that you think you could have completed in a better way. You'll only get a few points for the Do-Over, but hopefully you'll make up for it in votes for your spectacularly redone task. You may not Do-Over a Task that you received any votes for.

Well I didn't really want to use this task as a way to re-submit a failed task, but after asking several people how to properly re-submit a failed task and getting zero reesponse, I decided to resort to this method.

As a newbie, I tried Decryption for Beginners, and not getting it immediately, decided to "cheat" by figuring out what the message was saying without really decrypting it. I think my biggest mistake was admitting that I hadn't really done the task properly in my proof. (*shakes head*)

After getting the big red X, I determined to solve it for real, and have done so:

Hmmmph! Hxbqmpdtlbmsbhaxelbkphpemghoctmkqeqepioxmpetquiagoqbcf - I really think i should have gotten some points for that.

I have learned many valuable lessons from the big red X and hope to avoid more in the future.

Curses! I think I lost my script to decode these messages when I moved back to school. :sigh:
