The Highest Place by Kingtycoon Methuselah

So this one was getting to me. I'm a flatlander and live in the valley on top of that. The highest point in the whole state is Akron - which is maybe a thousand feet above sea level? It's flat is what I'm saying. Anyhow on top of that I get the vertigo with high up heights - or whatever... Fine! I'm a whiny baby about climbing up stuff.
Also - it's been very, very snowy lately -- it's been so tremendously snowy that there's basically been a cap placed on adventure. If there were a possible event for Staying Home and Being Sullen - then I would get 10,000,000 votes for that because that's what has been happening. For real.
Anyway - breaking the logjam. So the highest part of my day is actually my house. I live at the top of one of the bigger hills around and my bus drops me off at one of the lower parts. I know many other players are basically mountaineers so this isn't the best thing ever as far as winning the game goes - but I was tired of looking at this one. I want to get over it and move on to a new and more interesting challenge. I hope. Here's what it looks like going up this half-mile hill with a 35 degree grade in the middle of the night after snow and ice have covered the sidewalks with a foot of wet, awful crap:

This is almost at the top. There's an old half abandoned shrine there - they fence it off which sucks because it'd be an awesome shortcut.
My house is almost in sight, just over that crest. Note that the weird sepia tone of the sky is the natural color for this part of the Wasteland.
