Your Phobia by reiko

May 10th, 2007 1:01 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Document a phobia or phobias that you have. Put it to the test.

I have arachnophobia. It's not that severe, but it still gets in the way of things.
Also I have hobo spiders living in the corners of my room, so often I'm too scared to clean because I think they'll bite me. I did think I'd gotten over it a little, since I can handle smaller spiders (the white flower spiders and little things like that) and sometimes even pick them up if they're reeeeally tiny.

Anyways. This morning I was taking a shower, inconspicuously washing my hair, when something tickled my arm. I was tired, so I vaguely smacked at it and picked it off my arm. I thought it was some of my hair (I didn't have my contacts on) until it wiggled, and upon closer inspection I was holding a daddy long legs by its hairy little body. Ew.
I freaked, naturally, and screamed, then threw the thing on the floor and hopped up on the side of the tub so it wouldn't touch me, and so I could wash it down the drain.

...Yep, still arachnophobic.

p.s. I tried to post this while using a proxy at school (they blocked sf0, those bastards) and for some reason it wouldn't let me post my description. All better now. :3
