Footwear Documentation by la flaneuse

INSTRUCTIONS: Document footwear on public transportation.

I reinterpreted this task after I took several photos of people's shoes on buses and was left feeling uninspired and bored. So I reread this task to mean "footwear on public transportation" instead of "footwear on actual people riding public transportation." A recent quick trip to NYC became, in part, a scavenger hunt for such footwear, which was much more fun for me to do. Here are my captures. That barefoot freerider ought to be kicked off. You gotta wear shoes on transit. Don't you?

Thanks! Yeah, I wished I had more time there to snap some other different ads/shoes I saw go by on buses too far away for me to capture. I will continue this task back home in Kansas City, as the pinnacle of my original goal would have been to spot any shoes on this painted bus. I haven't actually tracked it down on the street yet, and my days here are dwindling. KC doesn't have so many ads on buses (or painted ones--or heck, as many buses, for that matter), so it will be a little more challenging (=interesting, to me) to get my version of footwear on transit... (unless I remain obsessed with it and continue it after I move, which is always a possibility!)
