The Things We Bury For Our Friends by Jesse Roberts, Rin Brooker
August 10th, 2009 6:58 PM

Jesse: I started the treasure hunt from the Plaza, the main city bus depot, right where Rin would step off the bus. I wanted most of the search to be in a really nice park here in town ending near some flowers I know she likes. Originally I had planned on it being much shorter, but as I neared the end I looked out from the bridge I was on and thought "Well I could just go left instead of right and take her across that bridge and then loop around back." Well when I got to that bride I saw another I wanted to take her across. Then I got to that bridge and guess what there was another one I wanted to go to. So. the treasure hunt turned out to be more of the grand tour of the park.
Looking back though if I had known how much luggage she was going to bring I would have made it shorter @_@
Rin: I took a trip to Washington to visit my dear friend Jesse (who I had never met in real life until yesterday when I got off the plane) before I head off to college. the plane ride was not so great, but the day got better when I was picked up from the airport by Jesse. Little idid I know that I had a surprise task waiting for me in Cheney. He handed me his camera and followed me as bumbled my way around the city searching for the buried treasure. I had to follow the pictures in order and find where the next one was taken to find the right path. I never expected what I found at the end. (see pictures)

I love the camera-as-map idea. Nicely done!
