The Museum of Statistical Anomalies by Bada Bing

September 27th, 2014 10:24 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Find a statistical outlier. Capture it and create a display for it that elucidates its irregularity. Also, name it if necessary.

Work with other players to create the Museum of Statistical Anomalies by combining your displays.

I had the good fortune to observe a Green (or Carolina) Anole in my front yard this morning. Green Anoles are the only species of anole indigenous to Florida, but there are fewer and fewer of them because they cannot compete with the more reproductively efficient and more dietarily amoral Brown Anole--that is, the brown anole is not above eating his kith and kin and making copious snack food...babies. While I assert that it is not the fault of the brown anole that they were brought here from Cuba, mostly, and I bear the brown anole no ill will, I still in my secret heart root for the green anole, as I did out loud for this guy, who, in celebration of his brave outlier status, I will call FloorNinja. Long life and many buggy meals to you, FloorNinja!
