While this is technically an artifact (in that it was something made by a human), it's not in the spirit of the task. Perhaps a better wording on the task's part is "create a counterfeit relic." Anyhow, this definitely doesn't deserve fifteen points.

Dear Møndegreen,
While I understand that you are trying to help someone new learn what the standards and expectations are on the site, it's nether helpful, nor nice when you write things like "Flaggyflagflag." I think he understood from your explanation.

There is your right to free speech on the internet and everything, but seriously, we need to be nice to new people if this site is going to survive

This criticism sandwich is nothing but toast. +1

Perhaps. But we also need to maintain some standards if we expect anybody to care whether or not the site survives. There are very few among us who've never submitted a lame task completion, and I'm certainly not one of those few. But, a large part of what I love about this place is that the good stuff generally does get rewarded, and the lame stuff doesn't.

To be clear, I'm not flagging this. Dok and Ty's comments below lead me to believe that in addition to being the product of at least six minutes of enthusiastic mouse-work, there must also be something witty or interesting about the image displayed here. I don't understand it, and it's hard to properly judge a joke you don't understand. I'll leave it to the people who know what this is funny in the first place to decide whether it's fifteen points worth of funny.

I've got nothing against Mikey Wiesepape personally. I hope he sticks around, and finds tasks here which are as interesting to complete as they are to read about. But, this ain't one of them.

I'm not flagging -- beause, as teucer points out, it /is/ an artifact (yes, I'm in the M:tG crowd). :) Mikey, if you actually print it out on cardstock and play with it (heck, maybe even if you proxy it into a sleeved deck and try to use it against an unsuspecting opponent -- I mean, in a world with Steamflogger Boss, anything is possible, right?), I'll vote.

I agree with both Loki and Pixie here -- we've got to encourage new people, but we have to /encourage/ them to do better.

Guys. Note what card type it is.

I'm not voting until you actually make one, as opposed to just an image of it. But it's definitely an artifact.

Do graphic designers create art even if it is purely digital? I think so. Also, a card in MTG that is not played by using colored mana is an artifact.

I agree that graphic designers create art. I also agree that a card in MTG which uses no colored mana is an artifact. My main reason for not voting is that the proof does not show a fake MTG card that was created in the "real/physical" world. It shows one created solely on the computer. I would have voted (and will if the praxis is updated later) if a card was created that could be used as a counterfeit artifact in the game.

Note: I do like the idea for the praxis, I'm just suggesting taking it that next step to creating the actual card.
