I am, at the moment, unemployed. Well, more like purposefully underemployed. I mean I’m not working a regular job on purpose so I can fulfill other needs in my life, like…. Anyway I have no money.
So I was on my to an unknowing friend’s house (about 6 long blocks away) with a certain intent when I received a phone call from just that individual. “Work?....i dunno….lets talk in person.” It was supposed to be one hour of tech service for some money to be billed through the black hole of his companies finance dept…which is bad. After three hours of mighty impressive work we began to discuss the fact that the original compensation agreement would require modification. He had the skeletons of two shelves that I wanted to make into displays to sell my books on in shops. I drove a hard bargain and eventually got them delivered to my home-studio. I did not get a photo of my end of the exchange, the tech work, so I sketched one out.
