The Taking Tree by chaos shard
March 9th, 2009 8:40 PM
I wasn’t sure whether this task was to put ten objects in each of ten trees, thus placing one hundred objects, or just one object in ten trees, thus only ten objects. I decided to just go with the second option for reasons of economics.
I didn’t want to be arrested for littering, so I decided to place something nicely biodegradable in the trees. I came across these really neat gift tags half off at Wal-mart. After Christmas sales are neat. The tags are plantable. They have wildflower seeds in the paper pulp. Theoretically, the gift recipient would take the tag, keep it until spring, and plant it. I decided to let nature do the planting and stick them on trees.
So, I gathered some minions, and found ten trees that looked like they needed brightening up.

The list is, should anyone be curious: the tree in front of our house, a tree in front of a church (that one got a little white dove, seemed apropos), in front of city hall, three trees on campus, a tree hanging near the bridge in Riverside park (that one came out blurry because I was sort of leaning off the bridge), a tree next to a gym, one tree I’ve forgotten the location of, and one in a neat little grove also on campus but worth mentioning because of the weird lighting.

Yes, I’ve been planning this task since Christmas. I just haven’t completed it because it has been cold and I’m something of a wimp where it comes to freezing. But it’s FINALLY above freezing where I am so I did it.

Big up the environmentally conscious tasking. Yeah.
