Ariadne Unemployed by Selahsaurus
July 3rd, 2010 1:23 PM / Location: 48.856666,2.3509871Whilst in Paris, I visited a castle (which name, currently escapes me) and lo and behold, there be labyrinths! Pictures above were taking from the outside, but you get the idea. In the center of the Labyrinth, there was a raised Gazebo for eating and resting after working your way through, and my friends and I (non players) all decided to play a game of hide and go seek in the Labyrinth!
It turned out I was a very good finder, for in no time at all, I had gathered up all the stragglers, and it was my turn to be hunted. However, I apparently also decided that it would be fun to take a tumble on the gravel covered ground of the Labyrinth, giving myself a nasty cut on my knee and also thoroughly removing myself from the rest of the days activities.
Regardless, it was a fun trip. I enjoyed it immensely.

I just wish you'd written more...
I love reading stories
Um, okay. Where to begin? I went with a group of friends because well, why in the world not? We landed in Barcelona, and then took a train up to good old Paris, which smells less like baguettes and more like old gym socks, which was a big disappointment from Spain, which is the most beautiful land I have ever seen, and they take care of it so well... their street cleaners are equal to our starbucks!
I actually injured myself SEVERAL times at this castle in particular, by falling down some spiral stairs that lead to the kitchen. I lost my footing and pulled a 'Jill,' except their was no Jack to precede me, which made me look all the more foolish. This particular castle, which, again, name escapes me, but I WILL remember (eventually... I know I have a pic with it around here somewhere...) is built over a River in France, and it is quite lovely. It also had a wonderful winery on the grounds, which is where my friends helped me limp to after my tumble, and where a very handsome, dark haired, hooked nosed Parisian boy bandaged me up, all the while trying in vain to pronounce my name correctly.
Hmm... what more is their to say? It was a lovely return to my childhood, without question. Not the exotic overseas trip, over the castle, over the lovely Labyrinth, but the chase, the tumble, the tears, and eventually, the laughter. <3
(I should do this for callouses as well? Maybe?)
Best wishes to your knee
