I know a couple of gals who had hair long enough to use a regular iron to straighten it. It certainly did the job and it didn't look half bad, but I am not sure such extreme heat is good for the hair.

Once when I was riding in a elevator that was glass and had a view of the hotel lobby, I casually made a remark about how vulnerable those kinds of elevators were...with such high visibility and all. It was the smallest remark but it obviously freaked out at least a couple of my fellow riders.
