Here is a copy of an email I sent to my parents. I have completed this task and will update it as soon as I get a reply. I hope that my parents do not know a 'herbet bower'. That would be quirky:

Dear Mother and Father,

I have recently decided to be inducted into the CIA. It is a wonderful organizations conducting peacekeeping missions around the world. Soon, I may be out of contact. Though, a Mr. Herbert Bower may be in contact with you. I should be on my way to Benin quite soon. I will send a post card. Best Wishes.



Here is the update:

One day later my father had called to ask me about my email. My father has not called me in countless years. He asked about this email that I had sent him. He thought I may have 'gone off the deep end' or that is was ' a joke' I could not rightly sayt hat it was a joke. Nor could I tell if it was an instance of myself diving intot the deep end of the pool, but he had called.
I hung up the phone only to find that moments later my mother had called. Apparently my father had called my mother and told her tha he was upset about the note I had sent. She, in turn became upset. On the phone she asked me why I was going to "Benin". I was amazed that she knew Benin was in Africa. Upon asking her why she knew, she confessed that she had "looked it up"
In short, my parents were troubled by my completion of this task. They contacted, each other, my syblings, and myself for informating regarding the above statement.
I conclude that parents are concerned if one joins the CIA unexpectedly and then moves offshore soon after.
