Counting by aaron rhodes

A task; to count something, something never counted before, something so mind boggleing that no one could escape alive, or at least without serious injury to a brain muscle. My first attempt at this task was dubbed 'lame' and yes, it was. However, this attempt is athentic, having taking on the task of counting my girlfriends shoes. A task, no man should have to forgo. I brought along gallons of water, a tent, army rations, and a graphing calculator.
Here we have 14 pairs of shoes on the door.
Now let's count some shoes on the floor!

Here we have six on the biggest and baddest boots around. I think.
Of course that wouldn't be all the shoes she has, for she has one pair on her feet and more on the wall!

So, after days of counting and fighting of the monsters of my own psyche in the desert of consumerism I plodded out out many shoes my girlfriend owns:
14 on the door
5 on the floor
29 on the wall
1 on her feet
6 she threw away before I could capture them on camera which I won't count.

49 pairs of shoes.
Useing advanced math and a graphing calculator I am now able to calculate the amount of shoes my girlfriend has in my home and in her storage. With basic statistics principles I am able to come up with the number set:
[49 - infinity)

i guess that's technically counting.. but more so it's having the computer count something for you.
