Long Haired Freaky People Need Not Apply by aaron rhodes

INSTRUCTIONS: Document a confusing, unsettling, or contradictory officially-placed
sign. Explain why it might have this effect.

This should help prepare you to think outside the box...

I recently traveled to Peru, and it reminded my once again how different the states are from other nations. For better or for worse laws do not seems as stringent in other countries, where as in the USA everyone has sued everyone for any reason, so nothing is safe to do, nor legal.
When I first saw this sign I though,"Tee Hee, Tee Hee! How quaint! Let's take a Photo!" It was quite amusing that such a sign need be in place here, but as time went on I slowly changed my mind. I found this image unsettling to my american mind, for if such a sign is in place, then something must have gone terribly wrong. Not once, but many times.

The sign!

The sign!

Note the poor translation from spanish to english, giving the statement a more dangerous appeal. Pasar, meaning 'to pass', translated to jumping.

The Jump!

The Jump!

What a terrible fate to miss this jump.
