Depressialism: The state in which alcoholism and depression collide in a self-destructive behavior leading to more abuse of booze, and subsequent depression.
The difference between depressialism and the combination of Alcoholism and Depression, is the slight enjoyment of feeling mentally unwell, as if melancoly were some comfort.
The only known treatment of people suffering from such affliction is a bit of whiskey in their morning coffee, but no more than a nip or the spiral of disallusion begins again.
Symptoms: (possibly include the following! Our subject cannot accurately rate their feelings)
-Memory loss
-Sleep loss
-You definately have this condition if you are too drunk to stay awake, yet to depressed to sleep.
-Feeling as if you have died in an alternative universe that usurped your normal recognition of reality by getting you embarassingly drunk.
-Having conversations with yourself in public while stumbling drunk, towards home, at or before noon.
-Using alcohol to ease the pain caused by using alcohol.
-Constant Apologizing, sorry to include this one.
Do not fear. There is help. If you ever feel that you have fallen into such a sad and terrible state, do not hesitate to call upon professionals for assistance. We will take you to the nearest bar!
