The Arcane Ensconced by Marina Evans

INSTRUCTIONS: Install a secret message.

I LOVE a good detective novel, and all the principles of observation and patience that they can instill in the reader. One of the greatest ideas to come out of these tiny pools of thought is that of objects being hidden in plain sight.

With this idea in mind I set about the task.

Without wishing to plead poverty, I have no curtains. I do, however have huge windows on the 4th floor which look out onto a main road. What better place to "install" a secret message? In the plain sight of everyone who passes my window, should they choose to look up.

Stage 1: Writing the message. The first two pictures show my message on A4 paper, nice and clearly. Why such a plain message? Well, at that distance I didn't want to spout shakespeare, and I wanted proof people had seen it, so emailing me seemed like the best sugestion.

Stage 2: Installing said message. The next picture is the message taped to the inside of my window.

Stage 3: Checking the message from the ground. The next photo is from the next moring, viewing my message from street level.

My street from ground level. Stage 4: I left my message on my window for 3 days and in that period, sad to say, I received 0 messages! My home town is a very inobservant one.

Maybe they tried to contact you but seeing how your e-mail should be lower-case it failed...

:-p

LOVE YOU!

Ah, lack of zoom on my camera doesn't help.
I did check while I was out again yesterday, and it is totally readable, even from over the road.
