Document Confusion by Nan O'fith

Any large gathering is prone to confusion and the 2007 LSA Summer Linguistic Institute is obviously no exception. The info sheet listing locations of the pre-session classes said that my first class, Intro to LFG was going to be in Herrin 175.
Dutifully, I looked it up on the campus map.
Then we got an email informing us that the class would REALLY be held elsewhere: 550-550A. I located that room on the map.
On the first day of class, the projector didn't work. So, the TA went looking for another room to hold the class and we all got up and moved to ANOTHER room, a conference room in the linguistics department.
For the second day of class we were sent back to the first announced room (Herrin 175).
This, of course, turned out to be surprisingly hard to find. Signs like this didn't help much.
Signs like this were marginally more helpful.
The class stayed in Herrin 175 for day 3. I returned to 550 on day 3 to see what sort of signage was there and found something similar to the signs at Herrin.
When I was looking at the door and getting out my camera, a woman asked if I needed help. I said I was just taking a picture of the sign. She told me that it turned out that the projector had not been broken at all: someone had just turned it off underneath the front desk. So, all of this room confusion was due to a minor projector confusion on day 1.

Blurry picture of campus map with first boxed-in course location crossed out and second course location boxed in.

They had taken down the crossed-out, written-on, crossed-out sign by the time I got back with my camera.

I'm obviously not a true linguist--I don't have an IPA font! I'm computational and work almost exclusively with text, so no transcription for me... But a coalition needs all types. How many more are there??
