Alternative Medium Art by g k

April 22nd, 2006 3:02 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create a Work Of Art using an Alternative, Infrequently Used Medium.

I had wanted to do this task immediately when I first saw it - but it took me a while to figure out what my "alternative medium" would be. The answer came to me in the form of a belated birthday present; "Blacklight" paint. For some reason my 18th birthday yielded a few funny lighting options, (that reason probably being my joking that I needed lots of cheesy strobe lights and stuff for my band's performances.) Either way; I recieved a strobing black light, a lava lamp, and a few weeks later, this blacklight paint stuff.

So I set down to work.
Opened up my sketchbook, began with a really quick pre-sketch, opened up a can of hideous neon pink blacklight paint, and set to work.
