Keep Marching On by C. J.
June 5th, 2011 8:32 PMI've been a user of Okcupid, a dating website, with very minimal success for a very long time.
I think I like lurking on there more than actually meeting anybody irl.
For the sake of the game and the potential of my own well-being, I decided to delete my account. I've answered close to 1500 questions and completed a ton of their inane quizzes. I enjoyed coming home and writing drunken journal posts and trolling the forums. More than anything else, I enjoyed updating my profile, finding through trial and error what attracted and detracted woman to it/me.
Oh well, that's that.
(Btw, sorry for the fuzziness/quality of the photos. I don't think this camera was designed for screenshots and I was too lazy to download a screen-capturing tool to my pc.)

"This is it. You're about to delete everything. Are you sure you don't want to just disable your account?"
Incorrect Info

Just to be sure, I tried to login: "Sorry, your info was incorrect. Please enter either your screen name or e-mail address, and your password." Guess it worked...

Thanks for the tip- yep, 'prntscr', right there to my upper right :)
Sounds like a good choice for you! (On the other hand... my urge to meddle says I should suggest that you create a new account, solely to look for folks to task with, as inspired by a pretired task which suggests using craigslist to find collaborators/new players.)
OkCupid stopped being useful to me quite some time ago- it's been ages since I got a message that wasn't "I didn't bother reading your profile, but I want to meet you!" and/or "Hi, total stranger who has no evidence that I'm an interesting person, let's talk about sex!" I suspect that I'm unlikely to actually delete my account, though, mostly for silly reasons like nostalgia.
tasking with okc'ers. I may have to start a new account.. good idea
FYI, In windows you don't need a tool to take screen captures. You can just hit the print screen button (labeled PRTSC on my keyboard) to copy the current screen to the clipboard, or ALT + PRTSC to copy the current window to the clipboard. Then just open paint or somesuch and paste.
Quitting OKC. Tough choice. Not one I'd make. I've met too many insanely great people there. But with their recent acquisition by Match, there's never been a better time.
