Scale Model by Adam Grayson
December 12th, 2007 5:48 AMI opted to shrink that most recognizable of objects, the Washington Monument in Washington, DC.
*I opted for Dollar Bills for social commentary. Not sure what that means, but you might.
The Washington Monument

The Washington Monument in Washington, DC. See how majestically it thrusts itself out of the belly of our capital.
Monument Blueprints

Technical blueprint of the Washington monument in Washington, DC. This image, taken from Wikipedia.org, provided me with all the measurements and dimensions I needed.
Washington

The United States One Dollar Bill. It is 6.14 inches long. I use this item to do all of my measurements. I decided against using a ruler, and opted to try my hand at really complicated fractions. Using the dollar helped keep me in the correct ratio for the build.
Cap'n

Raw Materials 1: Box from Cap'n Crunch's Peanut Butter Crunch (pictured above in all it's peanut buttery goodness. 4: US One Dollar Bills 1: Pair of Scissors 1: Roll of Scotch Tape 1: Mechanical Pencial
Hand over your heart, please...

The finished piece. It is to scale. The original is 6660 inches tall and mine sits at a lowly 6.6 inches.

It probably means that the secret and mystical symbols (large and small) that cover our currency and allude to the secret societies and rituals of the masonsare well-founded in D.C. ....the same groups that own and run everything!
The Washington Monument is the most useful navigational wang on earth.
Adam Grayson, you have tasked well, and you shall be rewarded.
That's neat, and quite the appropriate media.
