Taking Pleasure in Institutional Life by AzRaeL

I find myself stuck between the pleasures of form completion and the pain of the actual forms that need to be completed all the time.
A HICFA is an overly complex and psychotically detailed form (Health Insurance Claim Form) that is the bane of any medical office manager or billing manager's existence. It requires three copies of any RX or treatment plan billed for, about twenty minutes of freehand documentation and explanation of charges...and -then- they deny the things half the time.

I have to do about 20 a day.
Yet...deep within that red and white prison for claims...buried under the endless paragraphs with phrases/words such as 'as per', 'subjective', and 'baseline'...is a strange like and satisfaction when they are all squared away. I blame my Virgoan nature (Natural Sadists/Masochists) for giving me the deep and rooted enjoyment that makes me stay hours after closing to try and get all the meticulous yet needless information onto these forms...just so they can be rejected by Aetna, BC/BS, Cigna, or Kaiser. Its a mind game. If i make them more perfect, it will be harder to reject....the opening of the letters and EoB notes is like waiting for results from an election or America's Next Top Model....did my HICFA have a photograph in Tyra's hand...or was it 'too mundane' and go home in tears?
I am forever twined in this relationship...and part of me never wants it to end. o.O

Srsly. I'd be hating the forms. Absolute torture. You should be paid more.

IN MY SPARE TIME I ENJOY FISHING AND FILLING OUT HICFA FORMS.
