The Highest Place by Francois Zimany

January 19th, 2009 4:16 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Go to the highest point of anything.

The highest point of anything eh, hmmm.*

I tend to spend about half of my life at school, so I decided to find the highest point at school.

This would for work for two reasons-
1. I would love a chance to explore my school even more thoroughly.
2. My school is pretty boring, so this might spice things up a bit.

So I decided that the highest Man-Made building would suffice as the Highest Point.

The Highest Point

^You can see the trees in the back as a height comparison Wait that doesn't work, you don't know how high the trees are, well the wavy building is 3 stories high/or about 30 feet. I think.
Anyways, finding it was the easy part, now the hard part was getting there.

*This is my First completed Task, so cut me some slack----On another note, What the hell is slack?

Click on the pictures for more on the story, The Last picture shows what turned out to be the highest point

V in the end i ended up looking through that same wavy auditorium, found some spray paint...tagged a peace symbol and went onto the top of that roof...no pictures just the one in my head though sorry. It turns out im not the only one whose been up there, there was another graffiti-ist who made a tag there...

The Highest Point

The Highest Point

I found it!, the highest (man-made building) point at school. Now if only I could get to it?

The Purple thing is a chair(Don't know who put it there but im going to use it)

The Purple thing is a chair(Don't know who put it there but im going to use it)

On the other side of the building(auditorium), I was planning on getting across the thing that goes over the walkway which connects the whole school, and onto the building (the lower one) then onto the wavy building!

Tree!

Tree!

So my plan was to climb up that wonderful tree, and onto the roof of the (30) building, from the roof I would walk onto the cover that goes over the walkway, (I don't know what its called) and head to the auditorium.

I could so live here, and feed of the wasteful students

At this moment my heart was saying something- DA DUM DA DUM DA DUM- Translated into english-WOOOOHOOOO.( The auditorium in the background)

To the left side is the thing over the walkway (I think its called a veranda, so I'll just use that). I decided to do some sight seeing, so I took a picture of some students having lunch. If you just so very rarely happened to be in this picture, I'll add you as a collaborator. (That wavy building is not the auditorium, it's the cafeteria :-[)

OH NO! AUTHORITY RUN! Not even 15 steps later, the authorities seem to have been spying on me, and caught me in my (perfectly il)legal act, oh well maybe next time.

Comfy socks

After attempt 1 was not only destroyed by The Man (Damn The Man), but I also received a 3 day after school detention, (I ****ing hate The Man) supposedly because I could have gotten hurt, (lol) and if they don't punish me then it would encourage other students to climb on the roof (I'm with them on this one, that's my roof(I was the first student to ever go on the roof!(i think))). So after all this I decided to go on my roof and take a picture of the highest hill near my house. This is me on the roof.

I hella love Oakland

I hella love Oakland

As you can see on the top left is The Highest point near my house, and i was planning on going up there, but wait....

The true Highest Point!

The true Highest Point!

The Highest Point near my house is the top of the house. So after all that trouble the highest point was in my very own backyard, kind of...
