Get up, Take a shower, Eat Breakfast, Go to work by J. T.

INSTRUCTIONS: Do something that you've done more times than you can count, but do it a way that you've never heard of.

We men of letters must keep in company. Though I generally start my days with calisthenics followed by a bracing cold shower and my toilette, I recreated a day in the life of Thomas Jefferson. I awoke with the sun. I soaked my feet in ice water for two hours. I wrote letters for seven hours punctuated by a long walk, a scrumptious luncheon, and a dinner with savoury quick breads. I slept early and long. Huzzah!

If this is the way Jefferson went about his day, how can you claim to have never heard of it being done this way?

This has promise. ~Waldo

There are two equally important and vastly distinct components to a completion of a task in this community. The first, is the praxis; genuinely free, self-conscious, authentic activity as opposed to the alienated labour demanded under capitalism. The second, is the writeup; your presentation of the thoughts and qualia of the act.

To the extent that one cannot truly exist without the other, we ask that the writeup include "proof" of the praxis. We don't need evidence, so much as we need suggestive, persuasive, or perhaps merely illustrative "proof". A chart of your calisthenics routine, a picture of a medicine ball, the beaver-hair lather brush; all in contrast to the icy foot-bath, the much belaboured parchment, and so forth. I can't really guess what your take on this other half of a "completion" will be, as so many players have found such diverse methods of pouring their experiences into the mold of submitting a task.
