Dead Shoe Revival by Samantha

Holy flying guacamole batman!!! It's been nearly six months since i've done any sf0-ing!
(said in a low gravely voice) well then I think it's about time you get your butt out there and task.
And upon taking this sage advice from the wonderous flying weasel, I can now present to you, "The Dead Shoe Revival" (yay!)
I don't know what it is, but I have a very hard time letting go of my old shoes. I suppose it's all of the miles i've walked in them, all of the places we've seen together. It's odd, because once my shoes get so beat up that I can see my socks through the holes, I always go out, buy new shoes, and just store my ratty old shoes in the back of my closet.
I've recently moved, and I found a bag of six shoes that are unwearable that had been shoved into a deep crevasse in my old closet.

I had these shoes in high school.

I learned how to play golf wearing these shoes

I had to wear these godawful shoes for work. They practically started dissolving, and my boss said i needed new shoes.
( I told him I'd get new shoes as soon as I had more cash)
I decided that in order to finally seperate myself from these old shoes, I would decorate them, and install them for everyone to see in a public place

I decided to go with a wizard of oz kind of theme, and make them red, and their path yellow.

so I added some red racing stripes here and there to spruce them up a bit, then went to search for just the place to put them.

I once discovered that if you drive far enough south of my grandma's house, you'll find a big ol' river, with a freeway bridge stretching over it.
many people like to hike around here, and old walking paths were established. It was one particular path I chose to become the yellow brick road for my shoes to tread upon.

I used chalk to draw up some wonky bricks for the yellow "road"

So now anyone who happens to walk along this trail will be able to enjoy and be mystified by the trail of trotting shoes.

those shoes are spruce like a puce moose!
I know what you mean about not throwing away old shoes. Art is a good thing to do with them.
