Something Fishy by J

I decided to go fishing for a dream.

I knew I wanted to use a feather as the pole, but I have so many different feathers it was hard to pick. But then I remembered the peacock feather in the back of my closet and knew it would be perfect. It's colourful and luring.

This is bag of rosemary, marigold, and other herbs that are supposed to help you remember your dreams.

I placed that on my bookcase beside my bed. It's something a friend made a few months ago that she says prevents bad dreams.

I decided to trap any nightmares that might come to visit during the night. The snake-skin in the bottle seemed suitable creepy. This went in the corner opposite from the bag of herbs, since the nightmares would want to be as far away from them as possible. In the morning, I closed the jar.

I switched the end of the bed that my pillow was on, since sleeping in a different place can help you remember your dreams. (Yeah, those are Lion King sheets...)

This is my dream journal. If I don't write my dream down the MINUTE I wake up, I forget most of it.
Before I went to bed, I drank a mug of hot chocolate. It always makes me extremely tired.

Success! I remembered my dream when I woke up. Thats the page I wrote it on.
Dream:
I was in some kind of academic fair, and my reading teacher was there. I had a project on Edgar Allen Poe. The wind kept blowing my project down (we were inside; my dreams aren't logical at all) so I was moved to a less windy room where there were only 2 other students. Somehow I wound up in a river trying to catch coloured rocks as they floated by. My grandma was there too. She saw a surfboard floating in the river near a waterfall, and she pulled me towards it. If I hadn't woken up, we probably would have fallen over the waterfall.

I like that you posted a picture of the dream journal, post-dream. It reminds me of a dream I scribbled on a notebook in the middle of the night, and discovered the next morning, all of the words were only on the right third of the piece of paper.

one time i woke up next to a notebook open to a page with the words "REMEMBER THIS DREAM" written at the top and the words "monkey" and "dentist" written beneath it.
no clue.
Nice catch :)
