I tried choosing a well known phrase so simple, it would withstand several translations. Of course, some languages drop articles, and some have gender ambiguity, so there's little chance it would have come back intact. Yet, it's recognizable.

Dutch: het was het beste van tijden, was het slechtst van tijden
French: il a été les meilleurs des temps, a été le plus mauvais des temps
Italian: è stato i migliori dei tempi, è stato più cattivo dei tempi
English: he has been the best ones of the times, has been worse of the times
