Renew An Old Correspondence by space bug

From the time I was in fifth grade to the time I went to college, I studied saxophone with the same, really fantastic woman. She was a huge influence on me and my decision to get my music degree. I hadn't heard from her in probably five years or so at least. Completely coincidentally, my boyfriend ended up working with her on some computer issues at work, found out we knew one another, and came home with her email address. We've since swapped several emails and phone calls (though we haven't yet met for coffee as we've promised one another.) As she had become friends with the rest of my family too (my brother is a sax player and was a student of hers as well) this random happenstance also led her to renew her acquaintance with my mom.
Here is an excerpt from my first email to her.

S finally coughed up your card before he left town for a while, so here's me finally getting in touch with you!
I was so delighted to hear he'd run into you! So, wow, it's been a while.
What I'm up to these days... S. and I live together in downtown St. Paul. I work a few blocks from where we live, so the brunt of commuting is on him- but we love our apartment so I hope he doesn't mind too much. We live in a converted warehouse apartment in Lowertown, it's a neat neighborhood with a high artist population. The St. Paul Art Crawl happens here, there are several live/work artist co-ops, and the farmers market is close by, too.
