Journey to the End of the Night DC by Suzanne

May 4th, 2008 2:04 PM

INSTRUCTIONS:

The city spreads out before you. Rushing from point to point, lit by the slow strobe of fluorescent buses and dark streets. Stumbling into situations for a stranger's signature. Fleeing unknown pursuers, breathing hard, admiring the landscape and the multitude of worlds hidden in it.

For one night, drop your relations, your work and leisure activities, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the attractions of the chase and the encounters you find there.

If you participated in the Journey in any way (as a player, chaser, or volunteer), please post your story here. Tell us a story of Danger. Fear. Drive. Craftiness. Power. Adventure!

The more thorough you are, the better. If you have photographs, please include them! Even better, draw your experience! Describe your chases, the people you met, what you thought of the route, the checkpoints, and how you perceived the city.

Thanks,
Spidere

While I didn't have a camera for proof, I can tell you that our team of 4, the flying camels got split up by chasers in between checkpoint 3 and checkpoint 4.  I was the only one who got away, and I headed north a few blocks.  I stealthily slid two blocks blocks north of checkpoint 4, sneakily dodging packs of active chasers who were haggling 'blue ribbons' on the other side.  I made an origami yellow penguin at checkpoint 4 before heading on...
