Domestic violence victim, self-portrait. All rights reserved including internet, International and Electronic rights. No copies without prior written permission from superbooks7@yahoo.com

Coming from the world of domestic violence victims, I shoot many "self-portraits" that show parts of myself which are willing to be photographed. Due to the nature of happenings in a victim's life, my face, features and other identifying parts are always reluctant to be photographed for the public.

Even so, even though my pictures are of parts, they truly are self-portraits because they show very important parts of my self, important to my survival, important to my growth, important for me to be visible in this world where some want me to be so invisible, quiet and unnoticed.

HERE I AM, whether anyone likes it or not. This is me; this is one of my self-portraits.

This photograph is from my book called, "HERE I AM!" "Self-Portraits by a Victorious Photographer Reclaiming Her Life" .

This is one photograph.
