City Dancing by Queen of Diamonds
July 19th, 2010 5:47 PM
We went to a movie theater and had to bum around for a bit afterwards waiting for some other friends. There was a kiosk in front of the theater building, with a black light illuminating some small advertisements. I was wearing my white-based tie-dye shirt, and feeling particularly like I needed to dance. The music was provided by an AC unit somewhere in the vicinity; the unit had a nice drum & bass rhythm (so it was probably broken). The D&B suited the black light and my shirt, so, I danced, in front of the glass-windowed kiosk. The analogy to an inverse Andre Breton made me smile:
"I myself shall continue living in my glass house where you can always see who comes to call, where everything hanging from the the ceiling and on the walls stays where it is as if by magic, where I sleep nights in a glass bed, under glass sheets, where who I am will sooner or later appear etched by a diamond."
