The amazement is less in the actual food part, but more in WHERE I decided to complete this task.


It was a Friday evening. I was glitzed and glammed up, a semi-formal dinner dance. Boys were in ties and button up shirts, suit jackets. I curled my hair for the evening. Everyone was dolled up.


"I can put my table manners to use!" Casey said. She ate, elbows off the table and using her forks from the outside in. As good ladies do.


There were butter balls on the table. They looked like cheese puffs.


This is fancy-schmancy.


"Does anyone want these bread rolls?" I asked the people sitting around me. They all shook their head no. That's when I started.
