I think I'll be sticking to the normal economy - eventually it will become more robust. Besides, so many of "my" current tasks are zero-level atm I'm not getting points anyway.
Comments people, it's all about the comments. neo-votes are nice, but not nearly as nice as a short well thought out comment - Suzy, CM and Doc, you know this, you are three of the players who taught me that my first week playing.
Of course, it is just another instance of "let´s see how it turns out" around here. Which is how things are over here, and everywhere, really.
Is not that we demand exclusivity or anything...
its not that i dislike the current voting system, because i do believe it empowers each vote so players will be forced to perform better tasks in order to get more points, however i do believe EVERY praxis deserves attentions. even if its been done over and over again. so i say we demand that along with every vote, we must enter a comment aswell as an image/sign/symbol anything that expresses how the praxis makes us feel.
As a new player, I have no experience with the old voting economy(ies?), so I have no comparison. It is frustrating to not be able to votevotevotevotevote for really lovely completions. However, also I am encouraged to tasktasktasktask to get votesvotesvotesvotes.
I love the derkins economy and I also think I invented a new word, which is derkins, which means a DIY vote. See the comments here.

How so? Or do you mean better tasks as in high-point tasks?
I'm modifying my resolution to operate outside the official vote economy. I tried the piggybank idea but it seems to be a failure: I mean, no one is ever going to ask the piggybank to vote in their behalf. Mostly because the vote poverty has been relieved quite a bit, but also because the whole point of voting is to get one's player pic at the bottom of tasks that we particularly like.
So, in a epiphany of creativity I'll be using the point-votes to VOTE. That's right, award some vote points to he tasks I gave a VPVP before. Yeah, votelater, but with the twist that I'd be doing the trading only once a month, so I can distribute the point-votes I have among all the tasks I liked that month. Less anguish that way.
I will, however, keep asking for DIYvotes instead of vote-points: they are great to get and don't tap into limited resources.
Should I now or should I not vote for your tasks? I mean if you vote you need points, right? I'd like to give you points, I didn't give them cause you didn't like them but now?
The thing is, I'm pretty much doing what feels best about the whole voting system, and loving it. So I guess if you feel like voting you should too :)
I used to crave votes, you see, but not anymore (which is a good thing for me in the sense of move away from greed, etc, but that's another story). And along the same lines I don't need points, not really. So, anything goes. Votes can be meaningful or arbitrary, same for money and almost anything, except the Hokey Pokey.
I find that since tax was reduced to 50% there's no lack of points anymore - at least I have enough p's to vote for whatever I want - so I think I'm gonna vote for your tasks with p's and also award you magic ponys or other surprises cause I know you like that Susy!

I shall continue to use the currently-defined vote economy.
But I have cast a DIY vote before and see no reason not to do so in the future.
