We are about connecting with Phoenix through displays of random acts of art. This works in two ways:
1. Take time to notice subtle details and submit proof about the city so YOU are connected
2. Have fun creating artistic expression to make non-toxic statements to the community
Connect through art. Join the art communities of Phoenix and individual creatives through random acts of art.
Phoenix needs the SFO game because people and places are so spread out, and it doesn't have a long history so it’s difficult for it to be a connected thriving community. Art connects people. Yet, it is full of isolated pockets of extraordinary creatives with a lot to share.
Phoenix isn’t as it appears on the surface as a grid, isolated in the desert. There are extraordinarily creative people here. The goal of this group is to put them together to display small to large projects out in the city... that shows this hidden creativity. This will help the city that doesn’t have long of a history develop more of a ‘culture’.
This is a game, so you don't need to be 'yourself' if the conservative nature of Phoenix keeps you from feeling connected to it. So make your character and participate. Your character can also be YOU. Your unjudged choice that can change throughout the game.
There are plently of creative groups in Phoenix and this is not a replacement for them but it is a valuable group because it is more abstract in representation so anyone regardless of their standard group can contribute. This group is also different because we get together to display art on everyday streets not for specific events with more people who already understand this creativity, but to the general public as often as we can. This can help a culture spread in Phoenix very quickly.
All of the issues Phoenix is divided over could be better solved if the community felt more connected. So each creative group in Phoenix is valid in it's own right. This is a forum for people to connect outside of their segmented group to share creativity in a fundamental abstract form anyone can connect to who see's our work. As artists the goal to create is the same and you can connect here.
Our goal is to create random acts of art, have fun, meet new friends, see how you work together for this project and perhaps other projects outside of PHX0. My goal as the group leader is to connect artistic folks in phoenix who are all spread out because I’ve seen the potential and this game will start the process. And perhaps make a city with so many hidden creative treasures, divided by distance or time, out in the open to create more of a culture in Phoenix through art..
Those are all lofty goals but they need contributions. This group is just starting. Join, write your suggestions, questions and ideas in the discourse section or through a message and participate! Please have respect and appreciation for creatives of a vast majority of lifestyles. We are here to unite the segmented art communities in Phoenix, not divide and to enhance the presence of current groups.
