Reverse Shoplifting by Sir Ducksbane
January 29th, 2008 11:01 AM
I couldn't think of anything I already owned that would be fun to reverse shoplift, so I went to a small antique store near my apartment to look for some random cheap object. I found a cool wooden spoon with a weird head on the handle for $2. I also found some small wooden thing for $1, but I have no idea what it was. I bought these two items and headed to the Family Dollar to plant them there. There were enough people in the store that it was difficult to find an aisle without other customers or employees stocking shelves. I put the spoon in a display box with some hideously pink toy boxes and the wooden thing with some plastic kids cups. The wooden thing already had a price tag on it, but the spoon did not so I grabbed one from a nearby shelf. I was a little nervous about taking pictures and removing a price tag from another shelf with people around because I'm not used to doing random stuff like that, but looking back and considering that it was The Family Dollar and it was very unlikely that anyone cared it was pretty irrational to be nervous.

Now I'm homesick for Massachusetts. Usually I'm not, but it's like negative a million degrees here in Minnesota right now, so that encourages homesickness.

I believe your wooden thing is a "bobbin". I like the socio-economic knick-knack redistribution, here.

The wooden spoon looks *so* completely out of place! LOL Brilliant task completion!
Oooh Davis Square. rongo rongo and I are up in Arlington.
Well, for that, you get a vote. But only once. :)
