The Great Burrito Exchange by Cunning Linguist

June 6th, 2006 1:15 AM

INSTRUCTIONS:

Surprise a friend by giving them an amazing Burrito. Document why you picked that friend, why did they deserve That Burrito, and how the rest of the day was spent eating The Burrito (be sure you get one for yourself too!).

OR

Group up with some friends. Pick a nice day and a nice park (close to 24th and Mission maybe?). Have each person get an awesome Burrito. Exchange The Burritos at the park. Enjoy them together.

A Nifty Resource: Burritobot.com

Tanner is my friend. He is a good friend. The kind of friend whose happiness makes you happy. He is the reason I did this task.

Originally, I didn't think I wanted to do this task, but my friend's happiness compelled me. See, my friend did his undergraduate studies in Boulder, CO. Colorado, to those not familiar, has a healthy population of Mexicans. This led my friend to not only like, but love Mexican food, since Colorado had a decent amount of Mexican eateries (it's no Mission Street, but it sufficied).

Well, due to certain career opportunities, my dear friend Tanner moved to North Carolina, were there are little to no Mexicans, let alone Mexican eateries. This led Tanner to fall into a deep deep state of culinary depression. Tanner is in San Francisco on business, and when we got a chance to grab some dinner together I had begun asking, "So what do you want for din..." and before I finished, he said, "Mexican!"

So off we went to Church and Market (conveniently located near work) to El Castillito Taqueria.

He went in and got the biggest burrito he could order (the Wet Burrito). Check out the look on his face when he sat down w/ that Mammoth Burrito. I, of course, got myself one. We sat down and in silence enjoyed what he had longed for in North Carolina, but couldn't get... an amazing Burrito.

aren't you supposed to, y'know, *exchange* burritos?

Well...

I payed for both, and if I read the task correctly, you can exchange burritos...
