Work is So Strange by Tony Call

I work as a resident advisor with the mentally handicapped. Due to various privacy laws I am unable to take any pictures here. That said, the following is a conversation I had with one of my clients:
Client: "I love Christmas."
Me: "Yeah, it's a fun time."
Client: "Not just for the presents, though."
Me: "Me too, people seem to be nicer that time of year."
Client: "Yeah, it's because God died... or something."

Thank you :)
You are absolutely right. One of the best things about my present employment is the perfect comedic timing my clients display. This isn't, of course, directed at them in any way. At one point one of my co-workers was leaving for the day. When I client asked where the staff was going he said "To Hell in a handbasket.". My client immediately responded "work?". You can't write stuff like this. :)
As you can see by the time it took me to respond I'm working on easing my way in. Life is busy. That said I'm glad my workday was able to make you laugh, and will take you up on the offer for help, should the need arise. :)
Hugs,
Tony

God dying is a hell of a reason for people to be nicer, actually...
That made me laugh :D
but doesn't sound like something that would be too unusual given your setting.
Welcome to the game (feel free to message if you have any questions)
Hugs,
