INSTRUCTIONS: Find a space that is devoid of city noise: no faint rush of traffic in the background, no voices of random passing strangers, no bass thump from a distant stereo. Quiet. (Of course natural sounds are hopefully to be expected: perhaps birds, perhaps animals passing through underbrush, perhaps wind passing thorugh leaves, perhaps a brook; but no man-made noise.)
Record your location as proof; if possible, a recording of the quiet would be lovely.
My yard. Once in a while I can hear a motorcycle, and at night I can hear the fog horn by the gate (and on ships going in and out) but for the most part it's just wind in the trees and the occasional bark from a distant dog. Not bad for the upper haight.
