Keep Marching On by Von Arlin De'Crux

This is, as most of my SF0 tasks have been so far, sort of a random spur of the moment event. It feels really fitting considering the spirit of sf0 that seems to be the spirit of doing random stuff just because your character can.
Anyways.
I can be a bit of a pack rat, so this wouldn't be fair if I picked just... anything that I could get rid of easily.
So instead I pick one of those little, sentimental things that you keep because you think someday you'll miss them.
Basically, my first boyfriend in highschool had two class rings due to a mix-up with his original class ring. He gave me the mix up to keep because we were dating his senior year (and it was my junior year). I still have this stupid ring from almost 4 years ago, specifically because I never really got over the relationship (as people seem to be stuck on their first relationship a lot.)
Anyways!
At first I couldn't really think of a way to destroy it. I contemplated a lot of different things - trying to melt it down (which I rejected almost immediately), throwing it away... What have you. But instead I decided... that to truly destroy something like that, first you have to deface it, and then you have to get rid of it! The destruction isn't (necessarily) of the item itself, it just destroys all the value you put in it and all the memories you have associated with it, right?
So I started off with some white nail polish I had left over from a rave... And sort of go on from there. The pictures really explain themselves - but I'll try and give some commentary after this.
So, first I painted the entire thing white - I wasn't going to, originally, but it says "Bartlett '06" all over it and everytime I see that I know exactly what it's saying. Basically anything that DOESN'T say that is the class colors, so it's sort of ridiculously reminding of the event I associate it with.
Anyways, then I... climbed out my window (I don't really know why, it just seemed to be the way to complete the task...) and walked to a nearby highway bridge. Waiting until there were no cars (of course! for safety's sake!) I hucked it as hard as I could off the bridge.
All in all, a very cathartic experience. Complete with a late night walk in the snow!
As a side note, those really bright dual shoe Converse are going to slowly, ever so slowly become my tasking shoes. Expect some sort of modification to them in further praxis'!

Great way of disposal. Points for complete defacing.
Tasking shoes.
Haha, I'm kinda making my pink hat to be my tasking hat. ^-^
