Find something. Write about it. by Water Dragon

I went for dinner with the lovely folks who learned me about fs0 tonight on Haight and while we were coming back to the car I found a hat on the ground.
I find lots of things on the ground and some people find it quite amazing but I think it has something to do with my sense of attention. It tends towards the ADD side so I think I shift around a lot and just notice things that other people just take for granted. I find all matter of interesting things. So, when I read this task I knew that it would be an easy one for me.
But I digress.
So, the hat. I found it interesting that I would find a hat as I have a thing for hats. I have a fairly large collection of unusual hats and I wear them quite often. Currently I have been sporting a tall, black, plush top hat with purple band. Inside I keep a plush rabbit in a pink costume that a friend gave to me. I was getting asked so often "do you have a rabbit in your hat" while wearing it that I decided I had better start keeping one in there. I mentioned to a friend that I was in the market for a small stuffed rabbit but hadn't found the right one and she found, purchased and sent me the one I keep in there now. It is just perfect.
Sorry. Digression. I tend to do that.
The hat I found today is a statement about the war in Iraq. It says "GOOOOOD MORNING IRAAAAAQ!!!!!" on it and has a small picture of a stealth bomber shooting missiles at a line drawing of Iraq and a dot where Baghdad is. It is the "trucker" style hat that my grandfather wore before he died. He had a thing for hats too and had collected all matters of baseball hats from his travels. Only baseball hats though. I only have one baseball hat that says "US Beer Drinking Team" on it that I found in a Maui big box store near the airport right before I left the island. I have been living in Amsterdam for the last 9 months and I figured my international drinking buddies would get a kick out of it.
But again I digress. Notice a trend yet?
At first I thought the hat was a statement in favor of the war thinking that it was pro bombing because of the image and I was thinking that the homily of the street I found it on with hate was interesting. I quickly realized that the text was a call out to "Good Morning Vietnam" though which was clearly an anti-war film to me. So it was interesting to feel my initial dislike for the hate change to something else. I'm not sure I really like it now but at least I don't dislike it. If it were on a more interesting hat I might actually like it but the hat is such a cheap standard hat that I just can't get behind it. The hat smells really bad too so I am not sure that I will wear it but I might try washing it to see if I can get rid of the smell. I mean it was in the gutter for lord only knows how long. The extra exclamation points also bug me. I never understood why people feel that adding extra ones increases the exclamation any. Like somehow there are levels of exclamation that can be demarcated with extra exclamation points? It never made sense to me and always bugs me a little.
My second to last digression:
On the curb there was some interesting graffiti. I have posted it as well because it made me smile. Enjoy.
And the last digression:
I think I deserve extra bonus points for completing this task today. Completing this task levels me up not one but two levels to level 2 which considering that I signed up today is no small feat. I got a lot less work done today since I spent so much time playing fs0. Go Go Gadget Distractions! But I digress. ;)

Thanks for the vote. The amusing thing about it is that your vote pushed me up another level! So my task to move from Level 1 to Level 2 now pushed me into Level 3. That just made me chuckle a bit.

The amusing digressions got my vote...:)
