Renew An Old Correspondence by whatis 42

I did more then just write a letter - I actually saw her again!
She's someone that a first met in nursery school, before I was even 6 months old. We somehow managed to stay friends throughout elementary and middle school, until she moved to Isreal right after her first year or high school. By some miracle we even managed to keep in touch then through frequent, dramatically teenaged letters. After all this how could wwe possibly lose touch?
My fault, actually. I'm really bad about responding to email these days, and after a while she stopped writing them. We were out of contact for a couple of years or so, but then my mother informed me that she was visiting Columbus this December.
3 weeks, several emails, and a couple of international phone calls later.....Correspondence renewed! Not only have I reconnected with a friend I've had since I was in diapers, I also get points for it. What could be better?
