I'm pretty sure that message boards about vapid pop music groups lack information.
So, since I'm in the midst of reading Sarah Vowell's great book "Assassination Vacation" and have a bunch of random trivia about the Lincoln assassination in my head, I posted the following message to the Pussycat Dolls group on Yahoo:
http://mb.music.yahoo.com/music/artists/threadview?bn=mus-4623677&tid=1310&mid=1310&tof=1&m=tm&rt=2
I tried to sneak in as much educational information about the assassination as possible, positing the question "if the Pussycat Dolls had a time machine, would they go back in time to save Abraham Lincoln?"

I have to say though, as amazing as your execution on this task is, Mr. Fink sir, I wonder if anyone reading that forum (independent of sf0) actually got past the first paragraph.

I've wondered the same thing; I was actually a little disappointed by the lack of a reaction. I was hoping to at least be called a nerd.
I guess it's hard to compete with messages such as "wow i did not no she was dat old man thats old!" (actual quote)
Messing with forums can be fun, but doing so in such a nice and educational manner is vote-worthy.
