my radio station was out at an outdoor concert one day. i was in charge of a bunch of volunteers and we were trying to promote the station. the day wore on and we promoted, and i kept track of all the people and their hours, like i always did, on a sign in sheet. there were lots of people that day, and they all put in good work.
we were trying to get the heck out of there at cleanup, and i stuck the sign in sheet in my back pocket. things dont fall out of my pockets, its all good. headed over to a friends party, stumbled home very late to another friends house. went here and there the next day, and then realized the sign in sheet was gone. i immediately felt horrible. i didnt know half the ppls names who were there that day. their hard work down the drain. i racked my brain to think of who had been there, but in the end i knew some people would be left out. and i had let myself down at that point.
the next morning i was walking down my street, which i had not walked on since before the day of the concert. i decided to cross over to the other side at a completely random moment, as always. a few seconds later, i looked down at the ground, and i saw a folded piece of paper. hoping against all hope, i picked it up and unfolded it. lo and behold, the sign in sheet had been delivered back to me, and i was able to give all those hard wroking volunteers their well deserved hours. i could hardly believe it.
my favorite part is def how there is a huge chunk ripped out of it. however, the dirt and wrinkles add their own charm. just darn lucky.
