New Take on an Old Riddle by Baby Jane

July 10th, 2007 2:15 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: And so the Sphinx asked, "What has 4 legs in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 3 at night?" Most people know the answer. Document 3 seperate items or animals, one with 4 legs, one with 2 legs, and one with 3 legs at the appropriate times of day--none of which can be a human being.

the answer to the riddle is a metaphor for life. what has four legs in the morning? that is a baby. the morning is like the beginning of a person's life. what has two legs in the afternoon? an adult. afternoon because it's like in the middle of a person's life. when they are an adult. and lastly, what has three legs at night? an elderly person with a cane. night is a metaphor for the nearing end of a person's life.

so for this task, i took three pix of different objects next to my cell phone so you can see at what time of the day i took the pic; morning, afternoon, and night.
