Human Seed by Adam Thistlethwaite, GYØ the taller ben, GYØ Vicki, GYØ Tish Tash

April 25th, 2008 2:15 PM / Location: 52.568326,1.7314141

INSTRUCTIONS: Bury yourself in a public place such that only your head is showing.

A few of the younger members of GYØ decided to take the NUT teachers strike to their advantage. While the vast majority of GYØ were sitting at school (being in Year 11), we took to the beach for Human Seed-ness!

Tasha and Megan (who thinks that SFØ is sad...) got to my house about half ten, soon followed by Martin, Jack, Shawn, Ben Thiss and Ben Fowler carrying spades. We headed off, picking up Shelby on the way, and got to the beach to see that Sam and Ryan had started off the digging. We made a decent start, pausing to run into the sea and to buy chips. The weather was really quite nice for April and Yarmouth, but soon it started to rain and the wind got up. After much fuss and shirt-taking offness, the hole was complete! Only a few of us were man enough (or woman) to be buried, and I made the mistake in taking off my t-shirt, thinking that it would be better than having to stay in a cold, sandy top. By now, it was really cold, apparently our lips were going blue, so we hurried with the burying, Izzie standing beside with a towel ready. Finally, after trying to get our shoulders covered, we were human seeds! A quick photo, then everyone attempted at unburying us, while I was trying to preserve my modesty.

We all agreed that the day was uber-fun, even if we got stopped by the police, but that's another story...

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

How dare you replace me with this Thistlethwaite fellow? Ah well, I will return unto the battle once more.

Are we witnessing a split in the unified collective identity known as GYØ? Let me go get some popcorn.

Beacause I have nothing better to do I made my own chart. And yes I do realise Ben's was in order of join date. This one is more accurate methinks. Although I will confess Ben is a better quality tasker.

Best way to keep your dignity 'round these parts is to ditch it at the start.

HA!

And I am still constantly reminded when it is either cold or raining, that I'm too overdressed...
